HICARE invited a doctor, from the National Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bangladesh, for one month of training at the Hiroshima University Research Institute for Radiation Biology and Medicine.

Medical Activities in Bangladesh:

I am a radiation oncologist/radiotherapist from Bangladesh. After completion of my post graduation in the field of radiotherapy as DMRT (Diploma in Medical Radio Therapy)in the year 1990 from the University of Dhaka I have been working in different state-run institute and hospital as consultant radiotherapist. At present I am working in Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College,Bogra-5800 in the rank of Associate Professor and Head, Department of Radiation Oncology. I am teaching radiotherapy to medical students; which includes-general lectures, demonstration and out door/in patient clinics. I am responsible for radiation therapy to cancer patients; which includes-prescription, planning and monitoring the therapy at different units(Cobalt-60,Simulator,Linear Accelerator, HDR/LDR Brachytherapy units).

I am life member of Bangladesh Medical Association, European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO),Bangladesh Cancer Society, Bangladesh Cancer Foundation, Bangladesh Society of Radiation Oncologist etc.

I am actively involved in research activities with 45 scientific publications in different medical journals. I have attended many scientific seminars/conferences both nationally and inter-nationally. I have visited India, Pakistan, Nepal, Indonesia,
Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand. South Korea, Austria, Italy and Japan in oncologic association.

My target is to work for wellbeing of mankind. I am very much interested to establish a Radiation Emergency Care center in Bangladesh as per guide line given by HICARE, Hiroshima, Japan.
