A Physician from Belarus Invited for Training

We accepted a researcher who is involved in genetic research in Belarus, where many residents were exposed to radiation due to the nuclear accident in Chernobyl. He received training regarding medical treatment for radiation exposure at the Hiroshima University Research Institute for Radiation Biology and Medicine for approximately one month.

Comment:

In the training, I deepened my knowledge in the genetic oncology area, particularly in the induced leukemia genetics area. I was able to broaden my knowledge by studying in a laboratory in a front-line institution in this area. I intend to apply such knowledge to studying infantile acute spinal leukemia. Moreover, I was able to come into contact with Japanese culture and tradition. I am deeply grateful to the staff at HICARE and the laboratory for providing me with the opportunity to receive fruitful training in all aspects.
